Data Collection

ChatGPT Bulk Exporter does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data or conversation content.

How It Works

The extension operates entirely locally in your browser:

• Reads visible conversation content from the ChatGPT page you are viewing
• Formats that content into Markdown, JSON, or ZIP files
• Downloads the file to your computer via your browser's native download mechanism

No conversation data is sent to any server, API, or third party.

Anonymous Usage Data

The extension sends anonymous usage events (popup opened, export clicked, upgrade clicked) to help improve the product. These events contain only:

• Event name and format (e.g. "export_clicked" with format "markdown")
• Whether the user has Pro enabled
• Timestamp

No conversation content, personal data, or identifying information is ever sent. Usage tracking is enabled by default but can be disabled at any time in the extension popup.

Permissions

The extension requires access to chatgpt.com and gemini.google.com in order to read conversation content for export. This access is used solely for the purpose described above.

Third-Party Services

This extension does not integrate with any third-party analytics, tracking, advertising, or data processing services. Usage data is sent to a first-party endpoint operated solely for product improvement.
